Name:Mark Country:United States State:Tennessee Metro:Murfreesboro Birthday:8/25/1958 Gender:Male
Interests:Writing, history, baseball, old time radio, classic films, music from opera to oldies, comic strips and books, all stuff like that there. Expertise:I have difficulty with this category. I see of lot of Xangiers claim expertise in various areas, but are they really experts or are these just interests plus? Expertise to me indicates you could make a darn good living doing things listed here, better than 90% of your peers who do these things professionally. I refuse to claim that until I can justify it. It's been so long since I've even thought about this place, I wasn't sure it still existed.
Due to various factors, I've taken Howling in the Park away from Renaissance EBooks, rewritten it and retitled it Smarter Than the Average Werewolf. I'm trying to find an agent for it, but nothing so far.
I've sold a couple of yarns lately to Dark Corridor, published by Main Enterprises.
Beginning in issue #4, I'll be doing a serialized story for that magazine. I expect it to run six issues or so.
I'm still working for Tennessee's vocational rehabilitation department. I love the job, but I'd really like to retire in a couple of years and devote my time to writing and playing with my granddaughter on a full-time basis. Cassie will be four in August. Time just flies, don't it? ;{)
You are the smooth sexy cool Dracula. Patient and lustful. If you were any cooler youd be ice. Great style with a way of seducing those around you. And three brides who wouldn't want to be him.
I just got home from a very entertaining booksigning for the attached novel by Jefferson Bass, AKA Jon Jefferson and Dr. Bill Bass. Ya'll may recognize Dr. Bass' name from a couple of National Geographic TV specials - he's the founder of the Body Farm in Knoxville and the nation's leading forensic anthropologist. I had the pleasure of taking his basic anthropology class when I was at the University of Tennessee back in the Spring of 1983, IIRC. A wonderful teacher, a delightful human being and a terrific lecturer on some rather gruesome subjects. If these gents come to your town, I heartily endorse attending their appearance, and buying their books. Flesh and Bone is their second novel after Carved in Bone, and they have a non-fiction book about Dr. Bass and the Body Farm, Death's Acre. Excellent reads, all!
